Main screen...

You have full control of your Sound4FM2 from this screen. The screen can be divided into four parts:

  • The upper part (1) for the preset name display, the radio name, access to undo/redo, history, log, compare, setup and preset management.

  • The lower part (2), the configurable vumeter bar.

  • To the left (3), the diagram where the active inputs and their status, the processing chain, and the output assignments are displayed.

  • The sound modelling area (4)

The diagram, much more than a mere synopsis...

Everything has been done to help you control the state of your processor without going from one window to another. Here, the diagram offers extremely useful information:

  • The presence of modulation on each of the inputs, commutation in backup if the principal entry is no longer fed;

  • The processing chain used: no more doubt about the order of the functions in the processor; the diagram indicates clearly the ordering of processing functions;

  • Assignment of outlets at the bottom of the diagram: you view at a glance the assignment of outlets. For Digital and Analog, you can assign the FM signal, HD or replication of input signal. For TX outlets, if it delivers an MPX signal or 19kHz pilot.

The “Compare” function: compare the state of progress of your work in real time!

Here again is a major innovation in terms of user-friendliness. The ear adapts very quickly to the changes you make. It is important to be able to compare the changes you make in relation to the original version. To do so, assign your “reference” preset and compare it whenever you want with your current preset. A mere click on the compare button switches “on air” the “Reference” preset or the “Work” preset.

A look at Setup

Sound4FM2 is a small processor that integrates in series the innovative functions of its big brothers. Here we view the configuration of the inputs.

Everything is simple: you configure the principal inputs (main source) and the safety inputs (backup).

The High Pass filter to limit infra-lows.

Automatic commutation mode. In “Backup” mode, the commutation will be automatic once there is no longer any modulation on the principal input. In “Priority”, commutation will be automatic once there is modulation on another input.

The Sound4FM2 control software…

Here there is no compromise: user-friendliness, simplicity and a host of unique functions make it a truly intuitive and convivial product. From your first minutes to the controls of the Sound4FM2, you will feel at ease, never get lost or lose settings thanks to the Undo/Redo functions and Preset History.

View modifications instantaneously…

For instantaneous viewing of the modifications you make, the background of the values goes from grey to orange. This state remains until the backup of the preset.

A true Undo/Redo without limit...

Nothing more to fear: Sound4FM2 is the first processor provided with the Undo/Redo function without limits. You can thus do and undo your modifications without ever getting lost. Two modes are possible: keyboard (CRTL+Z, etc.) and screen Undo/Redo (above).

Keep a history of your backups...

Here again is a major user-friendly innovation. Using this access, you will be able to know at any time where its preset comes from, i.e. from what factory or user preset you are working. Better yet, at the time of each backup, the previous version of the preset is kept. It is thus possible to go back several days or several months without ever losing anything.

A configurable strip of view metres...

To meet all your needs, we have provided Sound4FM2 with a configurable strip of view metres. You can thus define the number of columns, the number of lines and place the view metre you like wherever you like. A click on the view metre and the contextual menu opens. You can even save up to five configurations of view metre strips.

Easy or Full... two working modes

Easy mode, where everything is simple and rapid
Full mode, for going deeper

Sound4 products are very simple to use. Some functions have two levels of use:

  • “Easy”: mode simplified to the maximum;

  • “Full” mode: more complete mode, making it possible to go deeper and deeper into the function.

Factory Presets...

Factory Presets will be available to you as a basis for start-up. This will enable you to go very fast. You select the one that suits you best and adapt it according to your needs. It guarantees that you will have your own sound in a few minutes!

Control all processing functions from the main screen...

Finished is the opening and closing of various screens to view the action of the various processing functions. On Sound4FM2, you control everything from the same screen.

Furthermore, on each indicator, you have the max value with a “Hold” of two seconds. Practical for seeing the most rapid peaks.

The PCI Sound4FM2 card...

You’ve got it! We don’t offer conventional products marketed in the form of a “19-inch box”. We are suppliers of processing solutions for the professional Broadcasting signal realised in the form of a PCI card. These cards are thus intended to be installed inside a PC in a Linux or a Windows environment.

The Sound4FM2 card is 100% autonomous. All of the audio processing is done on the card and not in the PC. All inputs and outputs are also implanted on the Sound4FM2 card. In sum, the PC serves to feed the card; it can even “plant” and “reboot” without any interruption in sound being audible.
