Sound4 FM4 is really the fruit of my 25 years’ sound processing experience and development. Alone the algorithm in Sound4 FM4 represents nearly 2 years research. I researched it with Camille Gonnet, an exceptional engineer with whom I have already completed a world first: the first full FFT processor. More than a product, Sound4 FM4 is a real revolution with its simplicity, power and openness.
October 2007 marked the launch of the test phase. This “pre-version” phase is a very important one for us as it allows us to really gauge the product against the competition.
During this phase we sent Sound4 FM4 cards out to the four corners of the world. The product was immediately very positively welcomed and the first testers very rapidly confided that they liked the ease of use, the flexibility, the possibilities and above all the sound… so it wasn’t a bad start.
The tests continued, we made some corrections as a result of the comments and requests we received.
End of December 2007, the revelation... More and more customers told us they had done on air tests replacing Omnia 6 or Orban 8400 or 8500 and that in their opinion… they preferred the clarity and depth of sound, the bass was unbeatable, as for sound loudness no more was necessary to face up to the competition… and finally at that price there was no possible comparison.

Why does HQ Sound
give such good results?
Now that we have some hindsight, we can
confirm that the new algorithm engine (HQSound), especially
developed for our range of products, on average develops 20 times more power
than those commonly used in our competitors’ products. So with 4 bands and no
other peripherals in front or behind it can rival and even surpass processing
chains made up of several processors in series.
And
next?
Next we are going to apply HQSound in
different fields such TV processing, AM, mastering… And of course in all the
digital applications that arrive on the market.
